As a result of breakthroughs in advanced warp theory and starship construction, the Constitution II Class ships will, in the near future, be superseded by an impressive new generation of ships. No longer tied to the rigid specification of metal alloys, new starship hulls will consist of variable magnetic matrix sheathing which can be computer-conformed to each particular mission’s needs.
