2.4 Computer & Automation
A native bio-neural core and heavy automation let a small crew run a ship that would once have needed three times the complement.
The Pathfinder is run by a native third-generation bio-neural gel-pack core — the organic processing architecture pioneered on the Intrepid class — with no separate isolinear primary, only distributed isolinear caches for hardened backup. The gel-pack net routes survey and flight data fast enough that a 150-person crew can operate a ship that older doctrine would have crewed far more heavily.
Automation & holographic augmentation
Routine operations across propulsion, sensors and environmental systems are automated under crew supervision, and holographic crew augmentation — including a full Emergency Medical Hologram — fills specialist roles on demand during long unsupported missions.
